Flip Flip Ding Ding Discontinues Its Food Menu

[UPDATE 2/14: After nearly 8 years in business, Flip Flip Ding Ding has closed permanently.]

Iconic pinball bar Flip Flip Ding Ding has discontinued its food menu after switching to a fully plant-based menu earlier this year.

Mid-pandemic, only bars that served food could remain open, so owner Rex and his team used fundraising money and gracious appliance donations from the community to put together a kitchen that could serve patrons.

Owner Rex Ray, who also owns Pi Vegan Pizzeria in Roosevelt, carried over many of the same specialty pizzas and sizes to the pinball bar. Plant-based foodies and fans of Pi on Seattle’s South end were thrilled to have this pizza much closer to home.

Unfortunately, the food program had to close it operations in early summer of 2021, the rumored cause due to the kitchen not being up to code. We’re still awaiting a response from their team, but regardless of the reason, Flip Flip Ding Ding still operates as a rad pinball bar with a vegan owner, and that’s enough reason to visit.

And fortunately for you hungry folks on the South end, there are other vegan eats in Georgetown to enjoy after a few rounds of pinball.
