Seattle's Newest Vegan-Friendly Sushi Spot is Kamakura in Fremont

Seattle's Newest Vegan-Friendly Sushi Spot is Kamakura in Fremont

Kamakura Japanese Cuisine, a popular vegan-friendly sushi restaurant in Lacey, WA, is officially opening up a Fremont location on February 15th.

Formerly known as Tofu Hut, Kamakura defied the odds through the challenges of the pandemic, and they've finally been able to set the date to open their second location.

Delicious and reasonably priced vegan sushi can be hard to come by, so Seattlites are in luck with this new opening.

This small business is a perfect place for you to take your friends and family in order to please a variety of dietary preferences.

What To Expect

From The Menu

While their Fremont menu won’t be released until the 13th of February, it will be similar in price and content to their Lacey menu, which you can access here.

In addition to some vegan takes on classic rolls, like vegan tuna maki and a vegan California roll, Kamakura offers a wide selection of creative specialty rolls.

They also serve vegan appetizers like miso soup, potstickers, and cashew cheese rangoons, and rumor has it they're working on a few new vegan entrees.

Kamakura’s owner recommends the Tofu Roll and the Death By Crunch Roll. Yelpers also recommend the Welcome To Vegan roll, which is crafted with vegan crab and tuna, grilled onions, cucumber, and avocado, topped with crunch, and served with three different sauces.

For a fun drink, Thai milk tea (substitute oat milk) is another popular order.

As if their delicious food is not enough to keep people coming back for more, patrons of Kamakura applaud their great service and friendly staff.
